About relevant health concerns
STOP
If you feel unwell or unsafe
Important
Your health comes first.
Exercise should never require you to ignore significant pain, illness or worrying symptoms. Tell Emily about anything that may affect your ability to exercise safely and stop training if you feel unwell or unsafe.

1. Fitness information, not medical advice
Information provided through the Emz Fitness website, training sessions, programmes and coaching is intended for general fitness and wellbeing purposes. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
If you have a medical condition, injury, unexplained symptoms or concerns about whether exercise is appropriate for you, seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.
2. Exercise involves physical effort
Physical exercise naturally involves effort and some risk of discomfort or injury. This can include muscle soreness, fatigue, strains, sprains, trips, falls or other exercise-related injuries. Training will be planned with safety in mind, but risk cannot be completely removed from physical activity.
3. Your responsibility
You should provide accurate and relevant information about your health, fitness, injuries and anything else that may affect your ability to exercise safely.
You should also follow safety instructions, train within your ability, ask if you are unsure about an exercise and let Emily know if your health or circumstances change during your coaching.
4. Health screening
Before starting training, you may be asked to complete health screening questions or another pre-exercise questionnaire. This helps Emily understand information that may be relevant when planning your training. Health screening is not a medical assessment and does not replace advice from a healthcare professional.
5. Health conditions, injuries and symptoms
If you have a health condition, ongoing injury, significant pain, dizziness, fainting, unexplained breathlessness or another concern that may affect exercise, you should discuss appropriate activity with a healthcare professional where necessary. Emily may also ask you to seek appropriate medical advice before continuing if there are reasonable safety concerns.
6. Pregnancy and postnatal training
If you are pregnant, recently gave birth or become pregnant while training with Emz Fitness, please tell Emily so that training can be considered appropriately. Follow any advice provided by your midwife, doctor or maternity team and raise any concerns with them before continuing or changing your exercise routine.
7. Stop if something feels wrong
Stop exercising and tell Emily if you feel unwell, faint, unusually dizzy, experience significant pain or develop symptoms that make continuing feel unsafe. Do not try to push through symptoms that may require medical attention.
8. Online coaching and unsupervised exercise
Online coaching and personalised programmes may include exercises that you complete without Emily being physically present. You are responsible for choosing a suitable and safe environment, using equipment correctly, following the programme as instructed and stopping if you experience pain, illness or concerning symptoms.
9. Fitness results
Individual results vary and Emz Fitness cannot guarantee a particular change in weight, strength, fitness, body composition or performance. Progress can be affected by factors including training consistency, health, recovery, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep and individual circumstances.
10. Nutrition information
Any general nutrition or lifestyle information provided by Emz Fitness is intended to support fitness and wellbeing. It should not be treated as medical nutrition therapy or a substitute for individual advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare or nutrition professional where that is required.
11. Emergencies
If a medical emergency occurs during training, stop exercising and seek appropriate help. For a serious or life-threatening emergency, call 999 or ask someone else to call on your behalf.
12. Contact
If you have a question about this Health Disclaimer or need to tell Emily about something relevant to your training, please use the Emz Fitness contact page.
